Every answer here is written with the actual numbers and rules the system enforces, not with hedged wording. If your question is missing, write to us.
Signing up, signing in, personal data and deletion.
No. Browsing, searching, reading any course description, curriculum and reviews, and watching the free preview lessons all work without signing in.
An account is required at your first purchase, because a course is tied to your account rather than to your browser.
A name, an email address and a password — nothing else.
We never ask a student for a civil ID or an identity document. Those are requested only from teachers, as part of know-your-customer checks before their first payout.
Request the reset link from the "forgot password" page and check your spam folder first — that is where most of them end up.
If nothing arrives within fifteen minutes, the registered address is probably not the one you expect. Write to us from the address you used at purchase, quoting any previous order reference, and we will reconnect the account once ownership is confirmed.
The delete button lives in account settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it happens the moment you confirm, with no grace period and no way to recover the account afterwards.
You lose access to every purchased course with no refund. So download a copy of your data and your certificates first — the download button is on the same page, directly above the delete one.
Some records must survive: invoices and payment records are retained for the period accounting rules require, decoupled from your profile as far as possible.
Accepted methods, currencies, invoices and coupons.
Visa and Mastercard credit and prepaid cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported devices — all of them cleared through Stripe. PayPal is available for buyers outside the GCC.
Prices are shown and charged in your country's supported currency, not always in US dollars.
Payment happens on the licensed provider's page, not on our servers. We never see or store your card number — we receive a secure token that stands for the transaction.
We do not accept direct transfers to a teacher's account. Every sale runs through the platform so it can be documented, refunded and invoiced.
The price on the course card is what you pay. We add no service fee and no gateway fee to students.
We do not add VAT to a purchase. What you see on the course card is what leaves your card, with no extra line at confirmation.
Every successful purchase generates a sequentially numbered invoice in "My orders" in your account, and a copy is emailed to you as soon as payment is confirmed.
If you are buying on behalf of a company, add its name in account settings before purchasing so the invoice is right the first time.
Do not pay again. Open "My orders" and check the status: "processing" means the provider has not confirmed yet, which usually takes minutes.
If it stays pending for more than an hour, or your statement shows a charge with no matching order, send support the transaction reference from your bank statement. We verify and either open access or refund within one working day.
An accidental duplicate purchase of the same course is refunded in full, even beyond the usual watched-percentage limit.
Enter the code in the coupon box on the checkout page before confirming; the effect appears immediately in the order summary.
Coupons are issued by teachers for their own courses or by the platform during seasonal campaigns, and each has an expiry date and a usage cap. Coupons cannot be stacked, and none can be applied after payment is complete.
Access duration, playback, downloads, quizzes and verification.
Lifetime access, as long as your account exists and the course is published. No monthly fee and no renewal.
Updates the teacher later adds to the same course reach you at no extra cost.
Your access to what you bought survives whatever changes on the teacher's side — their account being suspended, their agreement ending, or their leaving the platform. That is written into the teacher agreement, not a verbal promise.
No. Video is streamed over HLS through short-lived signed, domain-locked URLs, and there is no downloadable file. That is a protection condition for teachers' content.
Attached files — workbooks, templates and exercise files — are downloadable and yours to keep without restriction.
Offline viewing inside the mobile app is planned for a later wave, and will be temporary and encrypted inside the app rather than an open file.
The player picks quality automatically from your connection; pin it to a lower rung in the player settings if your link is unstable.
Try a different browser, or turn off your VPN — signed URLs can be rejected if your location changes mid-playback.
If it persists, send us the course name, the lesson number and your browser and version. Problems affecting a paid course get a first reply within four working hours.
The certificate is issued automatically at one hundred per cent lesson completion, plus a pass on the final quiz where the teacher requires one.
Each certificate carries a unique verification code and a public page. Anyone — an employer or a training body — can open the "verify a certificate" page, enter the code, and see the holder's name, the course, the issue date and its status.
The certificate evidences completion of a course on ataa. It is not an academic accreditation from a government education body, and we say so plainly so you do not build the wrong expectation on it.
The teacher sets the pass mark and the number of attempts for each quiz, and both are shown before you start.
All your attempts are kept in your record and the highest score counts. Question order may change between attempts.
A free account, commission, payouts and publishing.
A teacher account is free: no monthly or yearly subscription, and no fee to open your academy, upload courses or publish them. Courses, videos, members and live sessions are all unlimited.
On each sale the platform takes a single 30% commission and you keep 70%. It is the same rate for everyone, with no tiers or upgrades, shown in figures in the earnings calculator on the "Teach on ataa" page before you publish your first course.
And we absorb payment-gateway fees in full, so they never come out of your share.
After each sale your share enters the pending balance, and moves to the available balance after 14 days. That hold is shorter than the 30-day refund request window and does not cover it: if a refund is approved after the hold has ended, your share of it is deducted from your balance.
Payouts run twice a month — on the 1st and 16th — to your registered IBAN, with a 200 AED minimum. Anything below the minimum rolls into the following cycle.
Before the first payout, know-your-customer documents must be complete and bank account ownership verified. The payouts screen shows both balances, the next batch date and a per-order breakdown.
No. The rate is captured at the moment the purchase completes and stored on the order itself. Any later change to the commission rate applies to subsequent sales only.
The rule is stated explicitly in the teacher agreement, and you can see it on your statement: each order carries the rate that was actually applied to it.
First review within two working days. We check that the listing is complete, that audio and video are usable, that the content matches the description, and that it contains no protected material you do not hold rights to.
A rejection is not final: you receive specific notes down to the lesson and timestamp, and a resubmission is reviewed within one working day.
How to ask, what we weigh, the exceptions, and how long the money takes.
There are no automatic refunds here. You may ask for a refund within 30 days of buying an individual course, and a person on our team reads the request and decides case by case. Subscriptions are non-refundable, in full or in part.
What we weigh: how long ago you bought, how much of the course you watched, and your reason. Days count from payment confirmation, not from your first view, and the watched percentage is measured from real progress in the player rather than from how many lessons you opened.
The full detail is on the refund policy page.
Write to support at support@ataa.ai. There is no self-service refund button in your account; writing to us is the route.
Give your order reference or the email you bought with, the course, and your reason. The decision reaches you in writing, with its reason.
No. Nothing is refused automatically; every request is read by a person who looks at your circumstances.
We usually approve: a technical fault that blocked viewing and was not resolved, a material mismatch between the course description and its content, an accidental duplicate purchase, a course withdrawn before you finished it, or a documented exceptional circumstance.
We usually do not approve requests that arrive after most of the course is complete or after the certificate is issued, nor a repeating pattern from the same account that suggests the policy is being worked rather than relied on.
We issue the refund instruction to the payment provider once the request is approved. After that it depends on the issuing bank: typically five to ten working days for cards, up to fourteen with some banks; Apple Pay and Google Pay refunds appear on the underlying card.
The money always returns to the method you paid with. We do not send it to a different account or to store credit unless returning it to source is technically impossible — and then we contact you first.
A free course has nothing to refund, and you can unenrol at any time.
A gift is refunded to whoever paid, not to whoever received it, and is reviewed like any other request within 30 days of purchase, taking the recipient's use of it into account. Once refunded, the recipient's access ends.
Write to us first, at support@ataa.ai. A bank dispute takes weeks and freezes the order throughout, whereas writing to us is the shortest route to the same outcome.
If you do open one, we respond to the bank with the order record, the watched percentage and the access log. Until it is resolved, access to the disputed course is suspended.
Questions inside a course, live sessions, and reporting a violation.
The course player has a "Questions & answers" tab: you ask about the lesson you are watching and the teacher replies — and the questions and answers stay visible to everyone else taking the same course.
Each teacher also has an academy page with an "Events" tab listing their upcoming live sessions, and you can register for one there.
There are no separate communities on ataa with posts, membership or points: discussion happens inside the course itself, attached to a particular lesson. That is deliberate — a question tied to the minute you got stuck on is more useful than a post on a general page.
No unapproved commercial advertising, no links to pirated material, no personal abuse, and no publishing other people's private data.
To report a violation: copyright complaints through the takedown page, anything else by writing to support@ataa.ai with a link to the course or review. A person reads it during working hours and decides it.
Sharing your account or leaking paid content suspends the account without refund, because it damages the teacher directly.
Send us your question and a person will answer. Include the order reference if it is about a purchase, so it reaches the right team straight away.
